Hours per Day:             7 hours per day (minimum 35 hours per week)

Qualifications Required:   

  • State approval as a school psychologist with at least a Master’s Degree.
  • Experience as a school psychologist preferred.
  • Willing and available to work in multiple buildings, elementary and secondary, as needed.
  • Knowledge of Response To Intervention (RTI).
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with students, parents, staff and community agencies.
  • Training in or willingness to be trained in CPI and its implementation.
  • Evidence of strong and varied personal and professional characteristics.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the Special Education Administrator.

Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Evaluate general education student being referred for special education services in a timely fashion.
  • Re-evaluate special education students.
  • Explain evaluation results to parents and staff.
  • Consult with staff and parents.
  • Participate in IEPC meeting MDRs (Manifestation Determination Reviews).
  • Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation teams, as well as acting as MET representative when assigned.
  • Participate in staff development, in-service meetings, parent education and information meetings as requested.
  • Assist staff in the development and implementation of behavioral plans.
  • Participate in weekly screenings.
